@YourSide Colleague® H1N1 Course Contest Winner!
Bravo to all 233 staff who have been getting prepared for the flu season and pandemic planning in the new H1N1 course on @YourSide Colleague! The contest among staff who completed the course is now closed. The winning name has been drawn – big congratulations to Sarah Kingma of Cornwall!! A $25 gift certificate to Canadian Tire will be mailed out over the next week. As the flu season is far from over, all staff are still encouraged to visit @YourSide Colleague and participate in the course. If you have questions about H1N1, the flu or pandemic planning feel free post your questions in the course discussion area (others may have the very same question) and our Health and Wellness Consultant, Joco Del Sol will be happy to address them.

New PVAD Topic in Nursing Certifications!
A new topic for nurses has recently been released in the Nursing Certifications course on Peripheral Venous Access Devices (PVADs). Log in now and access the Certifications course to complete the new topic and knowledge test!
New Webmail Training Course!
Now that all staff have their own SEHC e-mail address, it’s time to learn how to use it! Check your course list for the new Webmail course – an interactive learning experience on how to perform basic functions in Webmail, including sending and replying to e-mails and more.
Computer Literacy Training – New! Introduction to Computers Course
Computer literacy training is coming to an SDC near you over the next few months, and a new Introduction to Computers course is now available on @YourSide Colleague. Watch instructional videos on how to use a mouse and keyboard, and how to log in to key SEHC applications. You can also practice your skills using the BBC’s Computer Tutor.
New – Infection Control and Prevention: Influenza and H1N1 Course
We have all heard the news reports and have seen the SEHC bulletins on the impending flu season. It’s time to get equipped with the information you need to know to protect yourself, clients, and family. Learn for Yourself!
The Learn For Yourself series in @YourSide Colleague® (aYSC) is now more accessible and can now be found directly on your course list when you log in to aYSC. The Learn For Yourself series has been developed to help enhance your communication, leadership and supervision, learning and personal growth skills and to provide you with further references and ideas to continue your personal and professional development, with topic including, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, career planning, and much more!
